The Auto Expo 2020, one of the world's premier auto shows, recently took place in Greater Noida, India between 7 - 12 February. Great Wall Motors (GWM), China’s largest SUV manufacturer, was in attendance and took the opportunity to unveil the brand-new HAVAL Concept H and announce the upcoming debut of their future-proof Vision 2025.
HAVAL Concept H
The HAVAL Concept is a plug-in hybrid electric SUV that made its global debut at the show. Designed to be young and sporty, the concept model has been tailored to appeal to the lifestyle requirements and overall aesthetic preferred by a younger demographic.
Vision 2025
The Vision 2025 is a pure electric concept SUV based on HAVAL's vision for a future-proof smart vehicle with intelligent capabilities. Technically termed an NGV, or new generation vehicle, it boasts features like facial recognition, next-gen 5G infotainment, automated parking, as well as advanced autonomous driving modes.
Investing in emerging economies
Great Wall Motors has invested the equivalent of 1.5 million US dollars in the development of new energy and intelligent network connections, and plans to expand their footprint in India substantially in coming years. Their goal is to develop existing plants and R&D centres to produce electric batteries and vehicle components while creating much-needed employment opportunities in the auto sector at the same time.
Expanding HAVAL’s reach
Aside from showcasing its strength in terms of smart and autonomous vehicle technology, HAVAL also used the platform provided by the auto show to unveil intelligent home concepts, tech-forward safety applications, and a variety of new energy products that look beyond what we know is possible today, to open our minds and imaginations to what will become possible in the future.
