On the 13th of January, a large group of managerial role-players, including Chinese and foreign experts, partners, media and owners, celebrated the coveted 5-million sales mark at a ceremony in the city of Baoding. The gathering featured a strategic conference component and rolled out a map of the future plans that have been put in place to increase HAVAL's global footprint at the hand of the innovative '521 Globalisation Strategy'.
What is the 521 Globalisation Strategy?
Founder of the HAVAL brand, Wei Jianjun, stated at the recent conference that HAVAL seeks to build an influential brand by creating products that answer global trends with Chinese innovation. The '521' strategy refers to the company's goal of using the next five years to secure an annual sales volume of 2 million units and to cement HAVAL's reputation as the number one SUV brand the world over.
How HAVAL plans to dominate the SUV market
HAVAL currently has eight full-time research and development centres around the world that focus on everything from smart drive technology, to intelligent networks, alternative energy and modelling. The feedback from these centres inform the design decisions made by the teams in China. Additionally, a new tech incubation laboratory has been established in Silicon Valley in collaboration with international tech companies to ensure that HAVAL remains at the forefront of innovation at all times.
