In recent months and years, the focus within the GWM camp has shifted from creating products that appeal to clientele solely from a motoring perspective, to understanding what drivers want and need from their vehicles beyond mere mobility.
Life is complex and the world is constantly changing, which is why we have adopted a fresh new mentality towards innovation. In order to offer smart mobility solutions, the GWM research and development team was built out to 19 000+ individuals (30% of our global employees), bolstered by a 21.22% year on year investment in their work alone.
The result has been the development of industry-leading technology in hybrid tech, autonomous driving, intelligent interior, fuel efficiency, alternative energy (EV and hydrogen power), and more.
Much of our new-found knowledge has been poured into the development and rollout of our brand-new HAVAL offering, the JOLION compact SUV, which has been developed with the needs of discerning drivers in mind and will appeal to South African motorists who want to enjoy a full range of contemporary creatures comforts with a reasonable price tag attached.
